Indiana head women’s basketball coach Teri Moren will be representing the United States women's national team as she is set to coach the U19 National Team.
It is the second-straight year, Moren will lead the U19 women's national team into international competition.
Last summer, Hoosier head coach Teri Moren helped coached the USA U18 Women's National Team to a gold medal in the AmeriCup. In 2022 and 2023, Moren served as an assistant coach for two Gold Medal-winning teams. Her first time coaching the USA Basketball came in 2021 as an assistant coach for the 2021 Women's U19 National Team Trials.
Notre Dame head coach Niele Ivey and South Florida head coach Jose Fernandez are set to join Teri Moren on the national team’s staff. Team U.S.A will compete at the FIBA Women’s World Cup in Brno, Czech Republic from July 12-20.
“It is an honor to be leading the 2025 USA Basketball Women’s U19 National Team along with Coach Ivey and Coach Fernandez,” Moren said in Indiana’s press release. “I am grateful to represent our country on the international stage and look forward to the opportunity to once again pursue a gold medal for our nation.”

Moren is Indiana's all-time winningest coach, a two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and the 2023 Associated Press Coach of the Year. All of those accomplishments come in 11 seasons at Indiana and she will enter her 12th in 2025-26.
Moren is coming off a season where Indiana women's basketball made the second round of the NCAA Tournament before losing to South Carolina in Columbia. IU had an overall record of 20-13 and 10-8 in the Big Ten Conference.
The USA will look to capture its fourth straight gold medal and 11th overall in the competition since it began in 1985.
