Official Visit season has come and gone. The recruiting dead period has officially commenced, meaning that schools cannot make any face to face contact with prospective recruits through the month of July.

The Indiana Hoosiers have hosted a plethora of top targets over the last several weeks, and Curt Cignetti has IU's 2027 recruiting class in a strong position. As it stands, the Hoosiers currently boast the No. 30 recruiting class in the country according to Rivals/On3.

College Football 27 ratings are somehow still disrespecting Indiana's elite WR duo

Cignetti and company could be on the verge of adding more recruits to Indiana's 2027 recruiting class sooner rather than later. Several players who remain uncommitted have IU among their list of finalists, and Hoosier fans are waiting for more good news to come through.

Predicting the next 3 commits for Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers

Monshun Sales - Wide Receiver

The biggest name still out there that Indiana is vying for is 5-star WR Monshun Sales. Hailing from Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Sales' recruitment has been tightly-contested throughout Official Visit season, as he has taken visits to Indiana, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Miami (FL), and LSU. Lane Kiffin and the Tigers weren't initially included in his list of finalists, but they've come on strong in recent weeks.

Sales is now in his decision-making process, and the Hoosiers are considered the favorites according to many industry experts. He has shown IU plenty of love on social media, and he seems to have a great relationship with Cignetti and the coaching staff. If Cignetti is able to seal the deal with the coveted prospect, it would be a monumental victory for an Indiana program that has never landed a 5-star high school recruit.

Colton Johnson - Tight End

Indiana's 2027 class is currently without a tight end, and Colton Johnson is a name to watch. Johnson was recently in Bloomington earlier this week before the dead period began, which means it wouldn't be surprising to see his recruitment decision come sometime in the near future. Johnson is a 4-star TE from Cookeville, TN, and he owns a solid 6'5" 245-pound frame. He is ranked as the No. 24 tight end in the country by 247Sports, and Indiana is certainly in the hunt along with other contenders including Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida State. The timing of his visit is key, and IU seems to be in good standing.

James Bell - Running Back

James Bell is a 3-star RB hailing from Simeon High School in Chicago. He is ranked as the No. 48 overall player in the state of Illinois and the No. 114 RB in the country by 247Sports. Bell's list of offers exceeds 20 schools, but Rivals has his recruiting race down to Indiana and Kentucky and is giving a slight edge to the Hoosiers. Indiana's 2027 class features just one RB in the form of 3-star Da'Jon Talley-Rhodes, and landing more depth at that position would be beneficial.
