The race for 5-star WR Monshun Sales remains of the most closely-followed recruiting races in college football. Sales is one of the most coveted prospects in the nation who remains uncommitted, and he is garnering plenty of attention on a daily basis.

Back in February, Sales' list of finalists included Indiana, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, and Miami (FL). Since then, Lane Kiffin and LSU have also entered the mix. Sales has taken Official Visits to all of those schools, and a decision could be coming at any time.

Curt Cignetti has the Indiana Hoosiers well-positioned to land the Lawrence North product, but nothing is set in stone yet. Several national outlets have the Hoosiers pegged as the frontrunners in Sales' recruitment, and a fresh prediction from Saturday Blitz has IU fans feeling even more confident.

Another prediction rolls in for Monshun Sales to land in Bloomington

On Tuesday, Nicholas Rome of Saturday Blitz revealed his predictions for where he believes the nation's remaining uncommitted 5-star recruits will land. To the delight of Indiana football fans, he has Sales ending up in Bloomington.

Big Ten dominates EA Sports rankings, but Indiana is snubbed from No. 1 spot

Rome points to Sales' Indiana roots, Cignetti's winning prowess, and IU's recent WR development. Omar Cooper Jr. and Elijah Sarratt were arguably the most lethal WR duo in all of college football last season, and they are now both off to the NFL. Cooper was drafted in the first round by the Jets while Sarratt was taken in the fourth round by the Ravens. Those kind of results can be especially appealing to receiving prospects like Sales.

"While Monshun Sales grew up with the nickname Bama, it looks like he'll be playing college football somewhere else. The in-state wide receiver has seemed like a heavy candidate to play for the Indiana Hoosiers as Curt Cignetti has proven he can pair winning and development with Omar Cooper Jr becoming a 1st round pick. Other schools like Alabama and Texas will push the Hoosiers, but Curt Cignetti seems poised to land his first 5-star recruit."

It's just the latest prediction to roll in for Indiana to win the Sales sweepstakes. Back in May, Steve Wiltfong and Greg Smith of Rivals both logged expert predictions for Cignetti and company to seal the deal with Sales. Furthermore, the Rivals Industry Consensus gives the Hoosiers a strong 81.7% chance to secure a commitment from Sales.

Landing Monshun Sales would be a historic commitment for Curt Cignetti and Indiana

Indiana has never landed a 5-star high school prospect in program history. Furthermore, Cignetti has never secured a 5-star prospect in his coaching career. Both of those feates can be accomplished if Cignetti can seal the deal with Sales.

The 6'5" 195-pound playmaker is ranked as the No. 1 WR and the No. 8 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class by Rivals/On3. In addition to making Indiana history, Sales coming to Bloomington would skyrocket IU up in the national recruiting rankings.

As it stands, Indiana's 2027 class is ranked as the No. 30 recruiting class in the country by Rivals. The group currently features 16 players, and adding Sales to the mix would undoubtedly skyrocket the Hoosiers up in the rankings.

Only time will tell where Sales ends up, but Hoosier football fans have to be feeling good about their chances to land the in-state product.
