Jackson-Davis started his tenure with the Raptors in historic fashion. Just three days after he was traded from Golden State to Toronto, the 6'9" 245-pound forward collected 10 points and 10 rebounds in 15 minutes of action against the Pacers back on February 8. With that performance, he became the fifth player in Raptors franchise history to record a double-double in his debut with the team.
Now, the Raptors have chosen to keep Indiana's all-time leading rebounder and shot-blocker in town for at least another season. Jackson-Davis also ranks third on Indiana's all-time list when it comes to scoring and double-doubles.
Trayce Jackson-Davis' NBA future to unfold in Toronto
Over the course of his 2.5 seasons with the Warriors, Jackson-Davis appeared in 166 total games with 54 starts. In total, he averaged 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for Golden State. He also shot a strong 63.5% from the field.
Over the course of his time with the Raptors, the Greenfield, IN native didn't see much consistent playing time. Over 17 games, he averaged just 5.0 minutes of action and 1.4 points per game with his new team. But those numbers could increase next season. With the Raptors deciding to bring him back, Jackson-Davis could be in for a slightly bigger role in 2026-27. But no matter what his role ends up being, Hoosier fans are sure to be cheering him on.
Jackson-Davis was one of five former Hoosiers to appear in the NBA this past season. That group was headlined by OG Anunoby, who played a key role in helping the New York Knicks win the NBA Finals for the first time since 1973. His buzzer-beating tip-in at the end of Game 4 against the Spurs in the NBA Finals will be played on highlight reels for the rest of time. Other IU alums to see NBA action in 2025-26 included Kel'el Ware, Eric Gordon, and Thomas Bryant.
No Hoosiers were selected in the 2026 NBA Draft. But since then, Lamar Wilkerson, Tucker DeVries, and Sam Alexis have all signed as undrafted free agents with different franchises heading into the NBA Summer League.
