Sales is heralded as one of the most sought-after recruits in the 2027 class. He is coming off a junior season in which he totaled 37 catches for 794 yards and 9 touchdowns, and is ranked as the No. 2 WR and No. 7 overall player in the country by Rivals. Sales owns a 6'5" 195-pound frame and is described by 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins as a "one of the biggest freakshows in the country with his hulking frame and elite athletic markers." No matter how you slice it, Sales is a can't-miss prospect.
With a final list of contenders that includes Indiana, Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, and LSU, the Hoosiers own plenty of momentum in his closely-followed recruitment. Back in May, both Steve Wiltfong and Greg Smith of Rivals predicted that Sales would end up in Bloomington. Now, another industry insider is publicly sharing that same opinion.
Indiana gets last-minute prediction to land 5-star WR Monshun Sales
On Friday afternoon, Rivals' Sam Spiegelman logged an expert prediction for Indiana to secure a commitment from Sales. That is more good news for Indiana's chances, as Spiegelman tends to be correct with these types of predictions.
When it comes to the 2027 class, Spiegelman has been correct on 193 of his 212 total predictions. That is a success rate of 91.04%. Throughout his time as a recruiting insider, Spiegelman has hit on over 85% of his predictions in a list that includes over 750 official predictions.
Furthermore, the Rivals Industry Consensus currently gives Indiana an 83.6% chance to land Sales. Texas is second on the list with a 4.6% chance.
Does that mean Sales to Indiana is a done deal? Absolutely not. The world of college football recruiting has been known to provide many twists and turns, and anything can happen at any given moment. With that being said, all of these predictions rolling in for Indiana gives Hoosier football fans plenty of confidence.

The Indiana football program has never landed a 5-star recruit from the high school ranks. Curt Cignetti has the Hoosiers on the verge of changing that.
Sales is the type of player you go all in for, and that's exactly what Cignetti and company have done. Wiltfong noted earlier this week that he hasn't seen Cignetti and his coaching staff be as aggressive as they have been for a high school prospect. It's clear that Cignetti and the Hoosiers have made Sales a top priority from the beginning, and now they are hoping all of that hard work pays off in a big way.
