Jasai Miles was one of 10 players that made up Darian DeVries' first transfer portal class in Bloomington. Last offseason, DeVries focused on bringing experienced mid-major players to Indiana, and Miles was an ideal target using that strategy.
Miles was coming off a sophomore campaign at North Florida in which he averaged 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game over the course of 32 contests.

Unfortunately, Miles saw limited playing time with the Hoosiers and decided to enter the transfer portal once again after just one seasons with the cream and crimson. On the season, the Miami, FL native averaged 1.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game while seeing just 9.5 minutes of playing time coming off the bench.
After weighing his options in the portal, Miles has now found a new home.
Jasai Miles commits to Loyola Marymount via the transfer portal
On Sunday, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that Miles had committed to Loyola Marymount. The Lions are coming off a 15-17 campaign that included a 6-12 mark in WCC play.

Miles is set to join an LMU program entering its seventh season under head coach Stan Johnson. Johnson has accumulated an overall record of 87-90 (.492) with a WCC record of 38-57 (.400). The Lions have not finished higher than 4th in the WCC under Johnson.
Indiana's list of uncommitted portal players is down to one
With Miles heading to LMU, Indiana's list of portal players still searching for a new team is down to one. Center Andrej Acimovic is the lone former Hoosier still without a new home through the portal.
Previously, Jason Drake committed to Temple, Josh Harris committed to Florida Atlantic, Aleksa Ristic committed to Belmont, and Nick Dorn committed to Miami (FL).
DeVries has switched up his approach to the portal this offseason. Instead of targeting mid-major players who logged a ton of minutes, he is now going after proven high-major players. That new strategy shift has resulted in DeVries bringing in six transfers who all have multiple seasons of high-major experience and could all make an immediate impact next season in Bloomington.
