The recruiting race for 5-star WR Monshun Sales continues to be closely followed by college football fans across the country. Sales is one of the most coveted recruits in the 2027 class, and he is in the midst of a busy schedule of Official Visits.
Sales plays high school football at Lawrence North in Indianapolis, and Curt Cignetti has the Hoosiers firmly in the mix. In fact, Indiana is one of five finalists to land Sales, along with Alabama, Ohio State, Texas, and Miami (FL).
Sales is making his way to all five finalists, and Hoosier football fans are holding their breath as the 5-star product visits the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend.
5-star WR Monshun Sales visits Ohio State with Indiana
Sales' first Official Visit was to Indiana last month, and it seems to have gone extremely well. Sales showed Indiana plenty of love on social media during his visit, and from the outside looking in, seems to be quite interest in joining the Hoosiers.
Since then, the 6'5" 195-pound wideout has visited Alabama and has a visit to Miami (FL) slated for next weekend. But first, Sales is in Columbus this weekend to visit with Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.

Ohio State has churned out elite receiver after elite receiver over the last several years. Recent Buckeye wideouts now shining in the NFL include Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Terry McLaurin. Ohio State also still has Jeremiah Smith in Columbus, and he figures to compete for the Heisman Trophy during the upcoming season.

All of that elite talent and development at the WR position has Indiana fans sweating even more as Sales sees all that Ohio State has to offer.
Indiana can make a massive statement by holding off Ohio State, Alabama for Monshun Sales
Ranked as the No. 1 overall player in The Hoosier State and the No. 1 wide receiver in the country according to 247Sports, Sales is arguably the biggest name still on the market in the 2027 recruiting class.
Indiana has the inside track according to industry experts. Back on May 14, Rivals' Steve Wiltfong logged an expert prediction for Sales to land in Bloomington. Furthermore, the Rivals Industry Consensus gives the Hoosiers a strong 82.4% chance to secure a commitment from Sales. But that, of course, is easier said than done. But if Cignetti is able to beat out programs like Ohio State and Alabama for Sales' services, it would be historic in more ways than one.
Indiana has never landed a 5-star recruit out of high school, but Cignetti has the Hoosiers in a great position to change that. As anxious as Hoosier football fans are to see that happen, a commitment decision from Sales may not come for a while. At the very least, a commitment likely won't come until he wraps up all of his Official Visits. Until then, Hoosier fans will be waiting with bated breathe.
