Indiana All-American linebacker Aiden Fisher is expected to return to the starting lineup when the Hoosiers face Penn State this Saturday afternoon in Happy Valley.

That’s according to a Saturday morning breaking news report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Senior All-American linebacker Aiden Fisher left the first half of the UCLA game two weeks ago with an knee injury, and did not play last weekend at Maryland despite dressing and participating in a pregame warmups.

Fisher on the season has 49 tackles this season, including 7.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one touchdown.

ESPN'S Pete Thamel also reported that Indiana's star wide receiver Elijah Sarratt is game-time decision at Penn State as he recovers from a hamstring injury.  Sarratt played sparingly in the first half at Maryland before leaving the game and never returning. Keep in mind that both players were listed ‘probable’ heading into last week’s game against Maryland.

Sarratt leads Indiana with 45 catches, 609 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns while averaging 13.5 yards per catch.

Three Indiana Hoosiers are listed as out: starting guard Drew Evans, starting kickoff specialist Brendan Franke and backup linebacker Kaiden Turner. Evans and Franke will miss their second-straight game due to injury, while Turner suffered an injury last week against Maryland.

On the other side of the football their opponent Penn State has a full injury report list that's longer than a CVS receipt. The Nittany Lions have over a dozen players listed out: WR Kaden Saunders, LB Tony Rojas, Backup QB Justin Smolik and Starting QB Drew Allar, among several others. The Nittany Lions have been without Rojas, a defensive star, and Allar, a preseason All-American, for multiple weeks after suffering season-ending injuries.

The undefeated No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers (9–0) take on the struggling Penn State Nittany Lions (3–5) at Beaver Stadium. Penn State leads the all-time series 25–2, as Indiana looks for their first win at Beaver Stadium.
