Thursday is a big day for the Indiana football program. The quest for back-to-back National Championships officially begins as spring practice gets underway with plenty of new faces on the roster. Among the new faces is QB Josh Hoover, who comes to IU after throwing for 9,627 yards and 71 touchdowns for the Horned Frogs over the last three seasons.

Furthermore, several top recruits are slated to be in attendance for Thursday's spring-opening practice in Bloomington. Among them is QB Brady Quinn (not THAT Brady Quinn), who is among the most sought-after quarterbacks in the 2028 recruiting class.

Quinn is rated as a 3-star prospect hailing from Hollywood, FL, and is ranked as the No. 17 QB in the country for the 2028 class by the 247Sports Composite. The 6'1" 195-pound gunslinger has already racked up 15 offers from schools across the country. Cignetti and Indiana extended Quinn an offer on June 10, 2025.
Quinn will be on campus for IU's opening day of spring practice as a part of his spring visit tour. He visited Clemson over the weekend, and after visiting Indiana on Thursday, will be at Notre Dame on Friday and Purdue on Saturday. The rest of his spring tour includes stops at SMU on April 3, Miami (FL) on April 10, Alabama on April 11 and Kentucky on April 18.

Other recruits in town on Thursday include 3-stars OL Lual Aleu and ATH Darryl Flemister. Aleu is a flip target, as he committed to Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers earlier this month. Despite his commitment to Mizzou, it's clear he is still pursuing all available options in his recruitment.
Hailing from Cincinnati, OH, Aleu is a 6'5" 300-pound offensive tackle who is ranked as the No. 13 overall player in the state of Ohio and the No. 40 offensive lineman in the country for the 2027 recruiting class according to 247Sports.
Flemister comes from Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, and his list of offers includes over 20 schools. Along with Indiana, Flemister is considering Michigan, Illinois, Auburn, Kentucky, Oregon, and Ole Miss, among others.
Indiana's 2027 recruiting class currently features 4-star CB Monsanna Torbert Jr, 3-star QB Jameson Purcell, 3-star S Garyon Hobbs, and 3-star OT Jeremiah Jones. The 2028 class has no signees yet.
