NCAA women's basketball has been on the rise for years, but it was not until the astronomical ascension of the uncontainable Caitlin Clark that some culture altering light was shed on the sport. With that fortified focus has come an amplified sense of appreciation for not only the players on the court, but also slowly and surely the head coaches calling the shots from the sidelines.

Legendary coaches like Geno Auriemma, Pat Summitt, Tara VanDerveer and Kim Mulkey have long stood atop the coaching totem pole of D1 women's hoops. And while there is no questioning the greatness of that aforementioned trio of pilots, there is also no longer any type of legitimate excuse (there was never one to begin with) to overlook the quickly compiling list of highly talented coaches flying under the radar across the landscape of the NCAA.

That feat marks Moren's third *count them* THIRD gold medal as the patriotic pilot for that particular program. Perhaps the quickly approaching 2024-2025 could be the season that scary Teri and her squad break through to that next level and bring home some hardware of their own.

Regardless of the present void consuming her NCAA title trophy case, it is safe to say that Teri Moren is one of the best head coaches in women's college hoops. However, where exactly would you slot her on an overall hierarchy of head coaches? For reference, Moren has spent 10 seasons (heading into year 11) in charge at Indiana. Overall, she has amassed a cumulative all-time coaching record of 295-156 (.654) across 14 seasons between her former employer Indiana State and current IU headquarters.
