Remember back in 2010 when LeBron, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh pioneered the "Big 3" era? Throughout the years since, that concept has exclusively been linked to players.

Today ,we are turning the attention on tremendous trios from the athletes on the court/field to their instructors on the sidelines. More specifically, we are handing out some flowers to 3 of the most masterful minds in collegiate sports. Fortunately for Indiana University, that threesome of killer coaches are all actively residing in the friendly confines of Bloomington.

Say what you please about the Indiana University football program's overall track record throughout the years, but it just inherited a bonafide culture shifter who accepts nothing less than victory. If you do not believe that Curt Cignetti is going to alter the trajectory of this program, you should google him. The proof is in the pudding.

Then there is Teri Moren, the all-time winningest coach in the history of Indiana University women's basketball. Looking ahead to the winter months, it is safe to say that the certified catalyst will be able to sustain the upcoming Fall momentum stemming from Cig's inaugural campaign.

This is a squad that has been knocking on the doorstep of a championship over the course of the past few seasons of Moren's reign. While the loss to eventual 2023-2024 NCAA champion South Carolina was a tough pillow to swallow, the grit which this team showed in that difficult defeat was a crystal clear indication that Indiana University women's hoops is not to be messed with. The source of that sentiment starts with the program's skipper.

On the men's side of the basketball spectrum in B-Town, it is no secret that Mike Woodson and this squad had some serious problems finding a consistent rhythm in what turned out to be one of the more disappointing seasons in program history last year. But Woody and his staff licked their wounds from that damage, rolled up their sleeves and proceeded to get busy this offseason. Now, their problems are the type of problems that a basketball coaching staff should actually desire.

Color us crazy, but Indiana University has the best 1-2-3 coaching combination across the entire landscape of NCAA sports. Can you name another NCAA program with a better coaching cabinet?

We will wait......
