A season ago, one of Mike Woodson's greatest headaches was connected to his team's lack of polarizing talent. This upcoming season, it looks like one of Woody's greatest headaches will be tied to his team's excessive influx of certified hoopers.

No longer in town are Xavier Johnson, Anthony Walker, CJ Gunn, Payton Sparks and Kaleb Banks. New in town are Bryson Tucker, Myles Rice, Oumar Ballo, Kanaan Carlyle, Luke Goode and Langdon Hatton. Those freshly departed fellas will certainly be missed, but it is not difficult to imagine the newbies bringing an enhanced collection of skills to the table.

While the arrivals of so many skilled reinforcements is highly exciting for the fans and program alike, the newly constructed Hoosiers roster is going to present some potential headaches for the head coach as he juggles his rotational options and attempts to appease his players and fans. There are only 200 minutes to allocate amongst 5 positions in college hoops, but this is a team that could seriously run 12 deep given the pool of talent currently preparing for the season within the walls of Cook Hall.

When it comes to potential problems for a head coach to tussle with throughout the course of a basketball season, assuredly any coach would prefer to have a surplus of talent than a shortage of it. Looking at the Indiana University men's basketball team, Mike Woodson is going to have his work cut out in deciphering the correct combination of players to put on the court together at the correct times of each respective game.

Thankfully, the players he has on his squad are each worthy and capable of making things happen on the court in their own respective ways. As we look ahead to the season, the best thing that these guys can do is give it their all everytime that they are on the court in an effort to separate themselves from the pack. In doing so, they would make Mike Woodson's like much, much simpler.

Keep going, Woody!
