The Indiana Hoosiers have landed a commitment from Powder Springs, Georgia running back Jayreon Campbell, he announced on social media on Monday.

The three-star running back prospect is ranked No. 724 nationally and the No. 44 running back in the 2026 signing class and the No. 44 running back in the state of Georgia. per 247 Sports' composite rankings. He had 31 scholarship offers, including major schools like: Georgia Tech, Auburn, Arkansas,Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisville, Missouri, NCST, Michigan, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Temple, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, UConn, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia.

Campbell ran for 930 yards and 18 touchdowns on 168 carries (5.5 yards per carry) in the 2024 season at McEachern High.

Campbell was named a standout performer at the Under Armour Atlanta regional in February. " was the most natural pass-catcher among the running backs in attendance and profiles well as a change-of-pace back who can develop into a receiving mismatch at the next level," wrote 247Sports national analyst Hudson Standish. 

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back is Indiana's first commitment at the running back position in the 2026 recruiting class. The Hoosiers have six scholarship running backs on the roster going into 2025 and three of them (Roman Hemby, Kaelon Black and Solomon VanHorse) are in their final year of eligibility.

Campbell completed an Indiana official visit this past weekend before committing to the Hoosiers program on Monday.
