After a disappointing first season in Bloomington, Darian DeVries faces a major roster overhaul heading into Year 2. Indiana's graduating class accounted for nearly 78% of the minutes played and 84.1% of the scoring from this past season, which leaves DeVries and his staff with plenty of work to do.

Indiana's incoming recruiting class features three players, and with six players out of eligibility, DeVries figures to utilize the transfer portal when putting next year's roster together. The portal doesn't open until April 7, but players can announce their intent to enter the portal at any time.
A big name just went on the market and needs to instantly be at the top of DeVries' list of portal targets this offseason.
Saint Mary's Paulius Murauskas should be transfer target No. 1 for Darian DeVries and Indiana
On Tuesday night, Draft Express reported that Saint Mary's star forward Paulius Murauskas plans to enter the transfer portal. The move comes days after Saint Mary's head coach Randy Bennett left the school to become the next head coach at Arizona State.

Hailing from Kaunas, Lithuania, Murauskas was one of the best mid-major players in the country this season. He was second in the WCC averaging 18.4 points per game and ranked third in the conference with a field goal percentage of 48.2%.
For good measure, he also averaged 7.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game with the Gaels this season. For his efforts, Murauskas was named an All-West Coast Conference selection and helped lead Saint Mary's back to the NCAA Tournament.
Murauskas is no stranger to the portal, as he spent his freshman season at Arizona in 2023-24 before transferring to Saint Mary's.
Murauskas can help Indiana's scoring effort tremendously next season
Indiana needs plenty of scoring help next season, as the top-5 scorers for the Hoosiers from this past season are now out of eligibility. The top returning scorer is guard Nick Dorn, who averaged 8.1 points per game.
Murauskas instantly becomes one of the best players set to enter the portal, with Draft Express analyst Jonathan Givony stating that he is immediately the No. 1 player in the portal.
Murauskas figures to get plenty of attention from Power 4 teams across the country, and the competition to land his services will likely be extremely competitive. That gives DeVries and the Hoosiers a great opportunity to make a massive statement if they are able to bring him to Bloomington.
