Curt Cignetti's elite week on the recruiting trail has resulted in Indiana securing commitments from a pair of blue chip recruits with tremendous potential.

Last Friday, Lawrence North WR Monshun Sales became the first 5-star high school commit in the history of the Indiana football program. It was a momentous victory for the Hoosiers, and Cignetti wasted little time picking up another impressive recruiting victory this week. On Thursday, Indiana landed a commitment from 4-star QB Lukas Prock, who is widely-regarded as one of the top QBs in the 2028 recruiting class.

Sales is the signature commit of Indiana's 2027 class, while Prock becomes the first commit for Indiana's 2028 class. Together, they could become an elite QB-WR duo in Bloomington.

Monshun Sales fires up Hoosier fans after Lukas Prock commitment

Shortly after Prock announced his commitment to the Hoosiers, Sales took to social media to welcome IU's newest commit. His simple message has fans of Indiana football fired up.

"LETS DO ITTTT," Sales posted to X (formerly Twitter) in response to Prock's commitment. Sales also posted a graphic of Prock's commitment to his Instagram story. Needless to say, it appears that Indiana's first 5-star prospect loves what he is seeing.

Sales is ranked as the No. 2 WR and No. 7 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class by Rivals. When it comes to the 2028 class, Prock is heralded as the No. 68 overall player and the No. 7 QB in the nation.

Indiana landing 4-star QB Lukas Prock hands rival program another brutal gut punch

Sales will arrive in Bloomington one year prior to Prock, but once Prock is on campus, this QB-WR combination has extreme potential for the Cream and Crimson.

Indiana's next elite QB-WR duo could be in the making

This past season, Fernando Mendoza orchestrated the best season in Indiana football history. It's not a stretch to say that doesn't happen without Omar Cooper Jr. and Elijah Sarratt. Together, Cooper and Sarratt were among the most lethal WR combos in all of college football, and they played a big part in Indiana's National Championship-winning season.

Heading into the 2026 season, QB Josh Hoover has several elite receiving weapons at his disposal. Charlier Becker returns after putting forth a heroic stretch in the College Football Playoff, and Michigan State transfer Nick Marsh is already turning heads in Bloomington. Together, Becker and Marsh are poised for monster seasons, and both are already garnering first round NFL Draft hype.

With Sales and Prock officially in the mix, Indiana's next great QB-WR duo could already be in the making. Owning a 6'2" 190-pound frame, Prock threw for 4,330 yards and 41 touchdowns with just 7 interceptions as a sophomore at Hun High School in New Jersey. Sales boasts a 6'5" 200-pound frame, and he is coming off a junior season in which he racked up 37 catches for 794 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Indiana fans are already dreaming big about the possibilities, and once both players are in Bloomington at the same time, big things can happen.
