Top 25 prospect and 7-foot, 260 pound junior center Afrafan Diane is down to 12 schools and Indiana is among his finalists per Joe Tipton of On3 Sports
The class of 2026 originally from Montreal, Canada, plays his high school basketball for Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa. The Guinean big man played last season for Institut de Sport Dynastie in Quebec and will attend Iowa United Prep in 2025.
The other top schools on his list include: Kentucky, Houston, Kansas, Purdue, Arkansas, UConn, Virginia, Oregon, Washington, Georgia Tech, and Louisville,

Diane is rated as the No. 79 prospect nationally in the rising senior class by the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 8 center in the class and the No. 1 player in the state of Iowa.

The 7-foot center recently played for Team Guinea in the FIBA U17 World Cup tournament last summer and dominated all competition averaging 19.1 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game, 3.9 assists and 2.7 blocks.
With Iowa United on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Diane averaged 21.6 points, 13 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 blocks in five starts.
As of now Diane currently has official visits set to Arkansas (Sept. 12-14), Kentucky (Sept. 26-27), and Houston (Oct. 9-12).
Louisville was given the best chance to land Diane, according to the latest On3 projections, as Louisville has an 11.3% chance of landing the Iowa native with Kentucky coming with second best odds to land the center.
