Arafan Diane , 7-foot center and four-star prospect in 2026 class, lands Indiana offer

The Indiana Hooisers men’s basketball team has offered Arafan Diane, a 7-foot, 260 pound junior center in the Class of 2026.

Afrafan Diane, originally from Montreal, Canada, plays his high school basketball for Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa. The Guinean big man played last season for Institut de Sport Dynastie in Quebec.

For spring and summer basketball, Diané plays for Iowa United on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.  This off-season he’s averaging 16.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 80.3% from the field.

His offer list includes Louisville, Oregon, Arizona State, Arkansas, Creighton, Cincinnati, Iowa, Texas Tech, UCF, Florida, VCU, Utah State, Minnesota, West Virginia, Washington, Illinois and Houston.

Louisville was given the best chance to land Diane, according to the latest On3 projections, as Louisville has an 11.3% chance of landing the Iowa native. The 7-foot center recently played for Team Guinea in the FIBA U17 World Cup tournament last summer and dominated all competition averaging 19.1 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game, 3.9 assists and 2.7 blocks.

According to the latest 247Sports Composite Rankings, Diane is ranked as the No. 69 overall prospect in the nation. He is also rated the No. 7 center in the country and the No. 1 overall prospect from the state of Iowa.

Diane is ranked as a four-star recruit by On3 and as the No. 35 overall prospect in the class of 2026.
