One of the most decorated offensive linemen in Indiana Hoosiers football history has been signed to help one of the best teams in the AFC reach new heights in 2025 and protect the league reigning MVP.
Feeney has had a up and down journeyman NFL career but has now signed with the Buffalo Bills, the team announced Monday in a press release.
Feeney, 31, has played both guard and center for eight seasons with four teams in the NFL.
He has appeared in 120 games (65 starts) for the Los Angeles Chargers (2017-20), New York Jets (2021-22), Chicago Bears (2023) and Minnesota Vikings (2024).
Feeney started all 46 of his appearances in his college career from 2012-2016. The two-time team captain only allowed two sacks in 3,355 pass blocking snaps in his four seasons in Bloomington.
The former first-team All-American was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, starting in 57 consecutive games.
He has been a journeyman, spot starter adding offensive lineman depths for teams since his release with the Chargers. Feeney saw action on 40 snaps last year in Minnesota— all special teams. He served as iOL depth in 2024, showcasing the unique ability to play offensive guard, center, and even tight end and looks to do the same for the Buffalo Bills in 2025-26.
NBCSports‘Josh Alper wrote, “The Bills moved to add a veteran offensive lineman on Monday. The team announced the signing of Dan Feeney to their 90-man roster. Offensive lineman Rush Reimer was waived in a corresponding move.”
The Hoosiers haven’t had any players drafted in the top three rounds since 2017 in former offensive lineman Dan Feeney.
CJ West was drafted by the San Fransisco 49ers in the 4th round with the113th pick and quarterback Kurtis Rourke was selected with the 227th pick in the 7th round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
