6-foot, 165-pound freshman quarterback Trace Hawkins has been offered by the Chandler Whitmer, Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers staff.

The 2028 quarterback currently has offers from Indiana, Auburn, Duke, Florida, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, and Gardner-Webb according to 247Sports

Rising sophomore quarterback Trace Hawkins burst onto the scene this past season when he earned the starting quarterback job for the Calhoun football team. He became the first freshman to ever start for their program this fall.

Trace Hawkins ended up leading the Calhoun Yellow Jackets to a state championship as a freshman in 2024, making Hawkins one of the most phenomenal freshman to ever play in the state of Georgia.

The Peach state native was sensational in the state title game, going 16-of-25 passing for 184 yards to go along with 47 yards on the ground and one rushing touchdown. A performance that earned him MVP honors inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. against Jefferson in a 20-7 win.

This is what Hawkins told 247Sports.com about his first season as starting quarterback:

"Our team had a really great season after we started off 1-3," he said about the 2024 season. "We worked and worked to end the regular season, and we ended up going 11-0 and making a run in the playoffs and winning the state championship."

""Indiana football is a very well coached program with lots of athletes at every position,""
Trace Hawkins

A two sport athlete, Hawkins also shines on the hardwood. Trace Hawkins led Calhoun a semi finals appearance and also led the Yellowjackets in points scored with 11.9 per game. He also averaged 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 3.8 assists and shot 42.0 % from the field.

Indiana could legit offer Hawkins as a signal-caller on the football field at quarterback and a general on the hardwood at point guard if he stays on this path.
