Class of 2027 guard Dooney Johnson has announced he has received an Indiana offer on Sunday.

Johnson has also received offers from Wake Forest, Gonzaga, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Marquette, LSU, Memphis, Missouri, Nebraska, Syracuse, Utah State, SMU, Western Illinois, Bryant, McNeese State, Wofford, Southern Utah and Washington.

The rising junior attends Juneau H.S. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he averaged 25.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 45.9% from the field including 33.3% from three point range as a a sophomore.

The 6-foot-5, 185 pound, Johnson also plays for Team "Tyler" Herro on the Nike EYBL Circuit.  This spring and summer he averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds while shooting 33.7% from three point range.

Johnson is ranked as the No. 48 player in the nation in the class of 2027, the No. 16 small forward and the top prospect in the state of Wisconsin according to 247Sports Composite. Rivals has him at No. 31 overall in the 2027 class. Rivals forecasts the Badgers landing a commitment from Johnson.

"The 6-foot-6 Johnson is a ball in hand guard, someone who initiates offense while putting pressure on the defense,"wrote On3 recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw."Johnson plays with a great pace, not getting rushed and aggressively getting to his spots in the half court. He uses his big body well to create leverage, absorbing contact with good balance."

Dooney Johnson has great positional size and a strong feel for the game, and is the kind of prospect Indiana would love to get involved with early in the recruiting cycle. He is a tall slender guard with excellent ball handling skills and can create his own shot, he reminds me of a younger Jamal Crawford.
