The Indiana Hoosiers football program has flipped offensive lineman prospect Benjamin Novak from Wisconsin.

The Merrillville, Indiana native has been committed to the Badgers since October of 2024.

Novak who is a 6-foot-6, 310-pound three-star prospect, now adds to the Hoosiers 2026 class who bolsters 24 commitments, sixth within the state of Indiana.

Novak on why he flipped from Wisconsin to Indiana:

"How bright the future is, with Coach Cignetti being the type of coach he is and the o-line coach Coach {Bob} Bostad and his development of players and producing offensive linemen it was the best place for me."

"Coach Bostad is having me play both guard and tackle," Novak said. "He believes my height and length gives me an advantage at tackle, and my stature also gives me promise at guard as well. Start at guard and move out if he sees fit."

Novak according to 247Sports Composite is ranked No. 813 nationally, the 64th best interior offensive lineman and the 13th best player in the state of Indiana in the 2026 class.

Ben Novak also had offers from Ball State, Western Michigan, Akron, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Toledo and Bowling Green.

Indiana is looking at him as both a guard and a tackle, but most of his experience is on the interior of the line. He is listed at 6’6″ and 310 pounds. His length, athleticism makes Novak an interesting prospect down the line.

The Hoosiers football program are 11-0 on the 2025 season after a 31-7 beatdown of Wisconsin in Week 12. The Badgers, meanwhile, are just 3-7 on the field while Indiana was ranked No. 2 in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings.
