Indiana Hoosiers senior wide receiver Elijah Sarratt and junior Omar Cooper Jr were named a semifinalist for the 2025 Biletnikoff Award, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Monday morning.
The list is comprised of 13 candidates for the prestigious honor, with the goal of recognizing the season’s outstanding FBS receiver in college football. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back and running back), who catches a pass is eligible for the award.
Elijah Sarratt has 45 catches for 609 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Sarratt injured his hamstring against Maryland, he missed the Penn State game and Wisconsin last week. Sarratt's status is unknown in two weeks against Purdue.
Omar Cooper Jr through eleven games in 2025, Cooper has racked up 55 catches for 740 yards and ten touchdowns and he’s added 74 yards and a score on the ground, too.
Cooper will go down in Indiana football lore as he is now known for the game-winning, toe-tap touchdown from Fernando Mendoza at Penn State.
The semifinalists, finalists and award recipient of the Biletnikoff Award are tabbed by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, former winners and other ex-receivers.
Finalists will be announced on Nov. 25.Recently, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation opened the 2025 FanVote. Every fan may vote once daily on the Biletnikoff Award FanVote page.

Indiana football, Omar Cooper Jr and Elijah Sarratt are idle this weekend. The Hoosiers are 11-0 overall and 8-0 on the Big Ten on the season. Indiana is ranked No. 2 in the country and their final regular season game of the season is against Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium, Nov 28th.
