Kory Amachree of Haslett, Michigan, revealed his top six schools on Friday. Indiana is in the mix along with Kansas, Michigan State, Duke, Pitt and Harvard.
Amachree is a four-star running back in the 2026 class, and he holds a recruiting rating of 89.63 on the 247Sports' composite. Amachree ranks as the No. 24 running back and No. 352 overall prospect nationally. He is the No. 6 overall player from the state of Michigan in the class.
Amachree holds offers from nearly 40 schools, according to 247Sports. Amachree has already taken an official visit to Kansas and Northwestern and he will be at Michigan State for one on the weekend of May 30.
247Sports has already logged a prediction for Amachree to ultimately commit to Michigan State his home state school.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Michigan State a 36.8% chance to land Amachree with Indiana at 24.4% and Pitt at 20.9%
During his junior season at Haslett, Amachree totaled 1,394 all-purpose yards with 1,102 coming on the ground, along with 19 touchdowns in only six games played.
Amachree stands at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, he is more of a power back but has a lot of wiggle and speed in the open field. Outside of football, Amachree also ran the 100-meter dash in 10.9 seconds one of the fastest times in the state of Michigan in 2024-25.
Indiana has shown immediate success with running backs in just one year under Curt Cignetti and running back coach John Miller, with Justice Ellison running for 848 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground on 5.3 yards per carry in 2024 and Ty Son Lawton running for 668 yards and 12 touchdowns.
