Indiana has landed its fourth commitment of the 2025 transfer class and it is a big one. Four-star Sam Houston guard transfer Lamar Wilkerson has officially announced his commitment to the Indiana Hoosiers over the Kentucky Wildcats marking head coach Darian DeVries's biggest commitment of of the offseason.
Wilkerson was wavering between Kentucky and Indiana for a few days and many people thought he was certainly going to Kentucky, but Wilkerson surprised everyone by picking the Hoosiers. Wilkerson announced his commitment with a video on social media showing his visit to Bloomington and him in an Indiana uniform sporting his new number.

It seems Lamar Wilkerson will wear the No. 3, graduated senior Anthony Leal's old number
In his announcement video, Wilkerson could be seen wearing the No. 3, the same number he wore at Sam Houston. The last player to wear the No. 3 at Indiana was Anthony Leal, a hometown kid who played his entire career with the Hoosiers. With Leal now graduated, the number is open to anyone adn it looks like Wilkerson is taking claim of it.
Wilkerson can be seen in the video walking around with DeVries in the facilities adn taking photos with his family while in the Indiana pinstripes. Wilkerson can be seen smiling and looks excited to join the Hoosiers and try to build something special in the program.
Every Indiana fan can smile at the sight of Wilkerson in an Indiana jersey, especially sporting the No. 3 with everything that Leal did in that number. Wilkerson's commitment came at a great time as the Hoosiers had not had a player commit in almost two weeks.
DeVries is still working hard to build the roster, one that was decimated by the transfer portal, but with the commitment of Wilkerson, the new head coach now the No. 4 transfer portal class in the country.
