After a disappointing first season in Bloomington that saw the Hoosiers miss the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season, help is on the way for Darian DeVries and Indiana.

Indiana's 2026 recruiting class features three top-80 players in the country, and Indiana's lone 2027 commit, Chase Branham, continues to impress in the biggest moments.

Branham put together a star performance on Friday afternoon in the Missouri high school state playoffs to send his team to the title game. The game featured plenty of future college hoopers, but Branham stood out from the pack.

Branham led all scorers with 31 points to help power Logan-Rogersville to a 74-60 win in the Class 4 state semifinals over six-time defending state champion Vashon. Logan-Rogersville is now set to face Clayton in the state title game on Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, MO.

Branham's efforts helped Logan-Rogersville post a Missouri high school tournament record with a team shooting percentage of 73.5%. His performance is just the latest in what has been an impressive junior season, and Hoosiers fans are fired up to see him don the cream and crimson when he heads to campus next year.

Miami OH is everything Hoosier fans hoped Indiana would be this season

Rated as a 4-star prospect, Branham is ranked as the No. 2 player in the state of Missouri for the 2027 recruiting class. Nationally, the 6'4" 175-pound point guard comes in as the No. 26 overall player and the No. 6 point guard in the country according to the 247Sports Top-150.

The dynamic scorer committed to DeVries and the Hoosiers this past fall on September 20. He chose Indiana over other offers from the likes of Purdue, Iowa, Tennessee, and Missouri, among others.

Branham is the lone commit featured in Indiana's recruiting class for 2027 at this time. The 2026 class features a trio of 4-star prospects in the form of small forward Vaughn Karvala, combo guard Prince-Alexander Moody, and small forward Trevor Manhertz.
