Game information set for Indiana versus Ohio State
The biggest game in Indiana football history is officially two weeks away as the Indiana Hoosiers (10-0) take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on the road in one of the marquee matchups of the season.
Ohio State currently sits at No. 3 in the nation and is projected at No. 2 when the new CFB Playoff rankings are released tonight. Indiana sits at No. 9 overall but also projects to move ahead of Georgia and Miami as they both fell this weekend on the road.
FOX has chosen No. 5 Indiana (10-0) at No. 2 Ohio State (8-1) for their marquee Noon ET time slot, with Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt calling the action, and their FOX Big Noon Kickoff crew live at "The Horseshoe" Saturday morning.
Assuming Ohio State beats Northwestern this weekend, Ohio State versus Indiana will serve as a de facto play-in game for a Big Ten Championship Game, as the winner will control its own destiny for a conference championship game berth entering the final week of the regular season.
Indiana has a bye this week, giving the Hoosiers an extra week to prepare for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
ESPN’s Football Power Index currently gives IU a 26.8% chance to win.
Indiana has never beaten Ohio State, and a victory will all but secure a date with Oregon in the conference title game. The Hoosiers have already clinched their first 10-win season in program history, thanks in part to Ohio University transfer QB Kurtis Rourke.
Rourke is second in the Big Ten with 21 touchdowns behind Ohio State's Will Howard, Rourke also leads the conference with a 182.7 QB rating and 10.1 yards per pass attempt.
