2026 guard Gigi Battle has committed to the Indiana women’s basketball program according to her own social media accounts on Wednesday.

Battle committed to Indiana over Iowa, the University of Georgia, North Carolina State University, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Illinois and others.

The 6-foot guard/small forward is ranked as the No. 38 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 9 small forward and the third best player in the state of Florida from the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite

Battle averaged 16.3 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game last season for DME Academy, a private athletic boarding school in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Gigi Battle's brother, Tyus Battle, was an All-ACC guard at Syracuse from 2016-2019. Her other brother Khalif Battle currents plays basketball at Gonzaga as a sixth year senior. He previously played at Butler, Arkansas and Temple. Their father Gary was a Division-II All-American at New Haven (CT).

Battle is Indiana women's basketball programs fourth commitment in the 2026 class. Indiana's class also includes Zoe Jackson, a 6-4 center out of Australia, and Ashlinn James, a 5-7 guard out of Kentucky and Addison Nyemchek from Red Bank, New Jersey.

Battle, Nyemchek and James are all featured on ESPN's top 100 2026 recruits.

Indiana will begin their 2025-26 season with an exhibition contest against Missouri University of Science and Technology on Oct. 27 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Indiana’s regular season will begin on Nov. 4 against Lipscomb University in Bloomington.
