Four-star defensive lineman Cameron McHaney out of IMG Academy in Bradenton (FL) was offered by the Indiana Hoosiers last season and is heading back to take an official visit this summer in June.
McHaney is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Indianapolis Lutheran before transferring to national powerhouse IMG Academy last fall.
Defensive tackle coach Pat Kuntz is replacing top defensive tackle talent in C.J West and James Carpenter this off-season with two senior transfers in Hosea Wheeler and Dom Ratcliff. The long term answer and replacement could come in the form of Cameron McHaney in the 2026 recruiting class.

As a junior last season McHaney had 81 tackles, 13 tackles for lost, 1 forced fumble and 1 sack. McHaney stands at 6-foot-2, 315-pounds and is rated as a consensus four-star recruit. He is ranked as the No. 211 overall player in the class of 2026, he is also the No. 24 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 37 player in the state of Florida.
His older brother, RaiShaun McHaney is a two star offensive tackle who also plays defensive tackle for Indianapolis Lutheran in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 6 foot 8, 265 pound lineman had 102 tackles, 23 TFLs and 12 sacks last season and recently committed to UCF.
