Two of Indiana men's basketball former standouts Thomas Bryant and OG Anunoby are set to take center stage in the 2025 NBA playoffs.
Former Hoosier OG Anunoby led the New York Knicks to the Eastern Conference finals after defeating the Boston Celtics 119-81 on Friday night at Madison Square Garden in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference second round series.
The Indiana Pacers and former Hoosier Thomas Bryant clicked on all cylinders as they dominated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games in their Eastern Conference second round series.
Anunoby, an NBA All-Defensive Team candidate, averaged a career-high 18.0 points per game for New York to go along with 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while playing 36.6 minutes per contest.
OG Anunoby has averaged 15.7 points overall and has been the best defensive player against the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics primarily guarding Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Asuar Thompson.
In two years at Indiana, Anunoby averaged 6.8 points per game, 3.5 rebounds in 44 starts before suffering season-ending injury as a sophomore. He was drafted in the 1st round of the 2017 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors No. 23 overall.
Bryant, an eight-year NBA veteran, played in 66 games splitting time between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers in 2024-25. He averaged 6.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game, shooting 50.8% from the field and 85.9% from the free throw line.

Bryant has appeared in all 10 of their playoff games and is averaging 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds over 9.9 minutes per game.
The Indiana Hoosiers alum was Third Team All-Big Ten as a sophomore before entering the NBA Draft, he was selected by the Indiana Hoosiers in the second round. Bryant averaged 12.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in his two years at Indiana.
Both Thomas Bryant and OG Anunoby already have NBA championship rings in previous years.
Bryant won with the Denver Nuggets in 2023, and OG Anunoby with Toronto Raptors in 2019. They are the only two former Hoosiers to get NBA rings in the past 35 years.
