Andy Katz’s latest “Power 37” rankings gave Indiana fans something to cheer about, placing the Hoosiers at No. 30 heading into the 2025-26 season.

After a complete overhaul on the roster and a late coaching change from Mike Woodson to Darian DeVries the 2025-26 season seems to be promising for the Hoosiers.

The top five teams in the Andy Katz Power 37 are Purdue, Houston, St. John’s, UConn and Duke.

The Hoosiers are the tenth-highest-rated Big Ten team in Katz’s rankings.

Here's how Katz ranked the Big Ten teams:

1. Purdue

8. Michigan

12. Oregon

16. UCLA

19. Illinois

21. Wisconsin

24. Michigan State

27. USC

28. Maryland

30. Indiana

31. Ohio State

The Hoosiers are currently No. 38 in the latest projections for next season from Bart Torvik.

Darian DeVries has hit the transfer portal hard this off-season with commitments from Josh Harris, Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Jasai Miles, Tayton Conerway, Jason Drake, Sam Alexis, Nick Dorn.

Luke Goode and Anthony Leal's status' for the 2025-26 season is unresolved. Goode and Leal have requested a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA to grant them an additional year of eligibility.

After a disappointing 2024-25 season in Bloomington, Indiana being a top team in the nation would be a huge turnaround. The Hoosiers have missed the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons and after the coaching change cannot afford another hiccup in the process.
