Former Indiana forward Malik Reneau transfers to Miami

Mailk Reneau announced on Wednesday via his social media account that he will finish his college basketball career at Miami.

Reneau's top schools on his finalist list included Auburn, USC, Michigan, and Arkansas along with his final choice Miami (FL).

He also thanked the Indiana program and former IU head coach Mike Woodson “I want to thank Coach Woodson and his entire staff for giving me an opportunity to play at Indiana. I will miss the fans and all the great people in Bloomington,” he said in an Instagram post.

This past season, in 2024-25 Malik Reneau averaged 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while playing 23.2 minutes. He also shot 55.2 percent from the field. The junior forward has been a starter at forward for Indiana for the last two seasons.

In three seasons in Bloomington, Reneau 13.3 points per game to go along with 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He played in 94 games with 55 starts.

Miami recently hired Duke assistant coach Jai Lucas to take over the program on March 6, replacing long-time coach Jim Larranaga. The "Canes" finished 7-24 overall last season but are looking to spend a ton of NIL money this off-season to improve their roster.

Reneau will have one season remaining in his college career.
