Former Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball assistant coach Yasir Rosemond is heading to the SEC to be the assistant coach at LSU.
Louisiana State University men’s basketball coach Matt McMahon announced in a press releaseMonday the Tigers hired Rosemond.
Rosemond, who coached as an associate head coach at Indiana from 2021-2025, heads to LSU with close to 20 years of experience as a collegiate coach.
The Atlanta, Georgia native was an assistant coach at stops including, Alabama from 2017-19, Georgia from 2014-17, Samford from 2012-14, Seattle University from 2010-11 and the Oregon Dukcs from 2007-10.

At Indiana, he helped Indiana on the defensive side of the ball. Rosemond helped land top players like Myles Rice, Jakai Newton and Kanaan Carlyle and even earned a win in 2022 as a head coach.
