The 6-foot-8, 205 pound small forward transferred to Christopher Columbus H.S. in Miami, Florida to play his junior season after transferring from Montverde Academy (FL). Gaskins teamed up at Columbus with five-star Duke commit Cam Boozer, his twin brother and Duke four-star recruit and commit Cayden Boozer and 2026 five-star Jaxson Richardson.
As a junior at Columbus, Gaskin averaged 13.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 blocks while shooting 54% from the field and 33% from three. He helped Columbus win a Chipotle National Championship.
According to the On3 Industry Average, Gaskins is a 5-star prospect, the No. 11 overall player in the class, and the No. 4 small forward.
“Caleb Gaskins has one of the more physically impressive frames in the camp, despite being the youngest player in this USA Basketball Training Camp,” On3 National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw said last summer. “While he is not super dynamic, he has played a mistake-free game, and been able to pick his spots to make a play. Gaskins did not attempt anything he knew he could not do, he moved his feet on defense, and he knocked down spot shots from the corner. The overall value he brought was a net positive throughout the week, showing some positional versatility playing some as a wing and some as a four. He found his role and leaned into it.”
Gaskins is ranked No. 11 nationally in the 2026 class by 247Sports, the No. 3 forward and the No. 1 player overall in the state of Florida.
Caleb Gaskins also has scholarship offers from schools including Florida, Miami, Texas, Georgia Tech, Villanova, Michigan, Maryland, Mississippi State, Alabama, Washington, Florida State, Georgia and Baylor.
This was Darian DeVries and Indiana's staff second scholarship offer this week, after offering Davion Adkins earlier this week.
