Five-star small forward Ryan Hampton announced he has an offer from Indiana men's basketball head coach Darian DeVries and assistant coach Rod Clark on his X page.
The 6-foot-6 and 190-pound Hampton is the younger brother of current NBA guard R.J. Hampton. His dad Roderick Hampton played Division I basketball for SMU from 1987-1991.
Hampton is ranked No. 3 overall in the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2027 class and is the No. 1 shooting guard in the class.
On ESPN's 2027 class rankings, Hampton is the No. 6 overall prospect in the class.
Ryan Hampton transferred to Dynamic Prep last season as a sophomore where he averaged 7.8 points per game, 2.5 assists per game and 3.5 rebounds per game. He is coached by former NBA star center/power forward Jermaine O'Neal at Dynamic Prep.
For the spring and summer league Hampton plays for Drive Nation on the Nike EYBL Circuit. Hampton is currently averaging 21.7 points, 9.0 rebounds per game and is shooting 43.1 percent from the field.

Ryan Hampton on what his biggest strengths are so far in his young career.
“I am able to score the ball,” Hampton told On3. “But I can also get my teammates involved, be effective on the boards, and I play hard every possession. This season, I’m seeing my strength is helping me and I’m better with my catch-and-shoot. I watch a lot of Jayson Tatum and Anthony Edwards. Tatum’s smoothness and Edwards’ explosiveness.”
Outside of Indiana, Hampton also holds offers from Arizona State, Auburn, Cincinnati, LSU, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, Texas A&M and Maryland.
