Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball has offered 2026 four-star forward Trey Thompson, from Greeneville High School in Tennessee. Thompson reported the offer Monday morning on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
The 6-foot-8 215 pound forward is rated the No. 137 prospect nationally in the class of 2026, the No. 5 overall player from the state of Tennessee and the 28th best power forwardaccording to the 247Sports Composite
Trey Thompson also has offers from Butler, Louisville, Kansas, Providence, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier and several other schools.
In Thompson's junior for Greeneville this past season, he averaged 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals per game in 38 games according to Max Preps
Aside from Greeneville Thompson plays for Tennessee Impact on the adidas 3SSB circuit and averaged 18 points on 58.2 percent shooting this spring.
On Monday morning, Jeff Rabjohns also reported that Prince-Alexander Moody, a 6-foot-4 combo guard from Bishop McNamara in Maryland and Latrell Allmond, a 6-foot-8 forward from John Marshall in Richmond, Virginia, will visit Indiana June 17-18. Thompson a Tennessee native will also take an official visit to Bloomington this summer.
The NCAA's dead period for college basketball recruiting begins Wednesday, May 21 through Sunday, June 1st.
During a dead period, coaches are not allowed to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off of campus. Official and unofficial visits on campus aren't allowed as well.
