It didn't take long for Curt Cignetti to find immediate success at the helm of the Indiana football program. In just two seasons, Cignetti has led the program with the most losses in college football history to an overall record of 27-2 and is coming off a perfect 16-0 campaign that resulted in a historic National Championship last season.
The success Cignetti has brought to Bloomington is unprecedented, and is arguably the greatest turnaround story in all of sports in recent memory. After decades of being overlooked, the Hoosiers are now expected to compete for another national title this upcoming season.
Indiana's success under Cignetti has taken the college football world by storm, and the Hoosier head coach continues to bring the national spotlight to Bloomington.
Curt Cignetti graces the cover of EA Sports College Football 27 Deluxe Edition
After over a decade of not releasing a new college football video game, EA Sports brought back the College Football video game franchise two summers ago in July of 2024. The game has exploded in popularity since then, and EA Sports is set to release the latest version of the game, College Football 27, later this summer on Thursday, July 9.
Indiana suddenly faces serious threat in recruiting race for 5-star WR Monshun Sales
With anticipation continuing to build for the release, EA Sports revealed the covers of the College Football 27 video game on Tuesday. There are two different versions of the game with two different covers, and Cignetti makes a profound appearance on the Deluxe Edition cover.
Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy, Miami (FL) WR Malachi Toney, and Oregon QB Dante Moore grace the main cover, while Curt Cignetti headlines the Deluxe Edition cover. Furthermore, IU's Memorial Stadium serves as the backdrop for the Deluxe Edition cover.

Imagine showing this cover to a college football fan two years ago before Cignetti took over at Indiana. They might look at you like you are from another planet.
Before Cignetti arrived in Bloomington, the IU football program didn't have many lofty expectations. But Cignetti has undoubtedly changed the narrative and national perspective surrounding the Hoosiers.
Instead of being overlooked and counted out on a year-in year-out basis, the Hoosiers are now considered a national powerhouse with Cignetti leading the way. After winning it all last season, Cignetti gives the Hoosiers plenty of staying power in 2026 and beyond.
The College Football 27 video game is set for worldwide release on July 9, but users who purchase the Deluxe Edition or are subscribed to EA Play Pro can access the game a few days early on July 6.
