As college football fans know, recruiting is a 24/7 job. Head coaches are constantly on the prowl for elite talent to bring in and help their programs win. The transfer portal has become huge over the past few years, but there's no denying that being able to effectively recruit from the high school level still plays a big part in roster construction.

In Bloomington, Curt Cignetti has the Indiana Hoosiers on a recruiting heater. Indiana's 2027 recruiting class now features 11 commitments, and eight have come in the last month. Cignetti landed commitments from a pair of recruits last Wednesday, as 4-star EDGE Reinaldo Perez and 3-star RB Da'Jon Talley-Rhodes committed to the Hoosiers just hours apart from each other.

With Official Visit in full swing, Cignetti is looking to keep the momentum rolling. Indiana is set to host multiple top prospects this coming weekend from June 12-14.

Indiana preparing for crucial recruiting weekend full of Official Visits

As it stands, Indiana's 2027 recruiting class features a trio of 4-star players and a total of eight 3-star prospects. Over half a dozen 3-star recruits are set to be in Bloomington this weekend.

Here is a look at Indiana's tentative list of Official Visitors for the upcoming weekend:

  • 3-star EDGE Ifeanyi Emedobi
  • 3-star RB TJ Lewis
  • 3-star LB Noah Renes
  • 3-star CB Chris Bradley
  • 3-star CB Ramir Harris-Dupree

3-star DL Kaleb Exume and 3-star OT Dylan Latell were originally on the list of visitors for this weekend as well, but they have already announced their commitments earlier this spring. Exume committed to Louisville on April 19, while Latell pledged his allegiance to James Franklin and Virginia Tech a few days ago on June 2.

Indiana looking to move up in national recruiting rankings

After beginning the month of May outside of the Top-50 in the 2027 Rivals Team Recruiting Rankings, Cignetti's recruiting heater has Indiana currently holding the No. 29 spot on the list. It's some strong momentum, but Hoosier fans are hungry for more. This weekend presents a great opportunity for Cignetti and company to make a lasting impression on multiple key recruiting targets.

3 teams that present the biggest threats to an Indiana national title repeat

At this time, IU's main target for this weekend comes in the form of 3-star CB Chris Bradley. Bradley cancelled his visit to Miami (OH) this past weekend, and according to Rivals, the Hoosiers are now the frontrunners to land the 3-star prospect out of West Chester, OH. More specifically, Rivals Industry currently gives Indiana a strong 85.9% chance to land the 5'11" 160-pound defensive back. Conversely, the RedHawks now have just a 4.7% chance to land his services. Don't be surprised if Cignetti seals the deal during Bradley's official visit this weekend.

With other Big Ten teams like Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and Wisconsin also heating up on the recruiting trail, it's imperative that Cignetti puts together a sold weekend. Hoosier fans have plenty of faith in his ability to deliver.
