Indiana football fans are hoping to see the Cream and Crimson make history in the next few weeks. Indiana has never landed a 5-star high school recruit in program history, but that could be about to change.
5-star WR Monshun Sales has been a top recruiting priority for Curt Cignetti and company over the last few years, and the coveted prospect has yet to make a commitment decision.
Sales' list of finalists include Indiana, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, and LSU. He has wrapped up Official Visits to all of his contenders, and is now in decision-making mode. But when will that decision be announced? Well, Sales' latest social media post hints that it could be right around the corner.
Monshun Sales takes to social media to tease highly-anticipated commitment decision
On Sunday afternoon, Sales took to X (formerly Twitter) to send out a teaser for his highly-anticipated decision. By posting two clocks and an hourglass, Sales seems to be letting us know that his looming commitment decision is right around the corner.
The post comes a day after Rivals recruiting insider Greg Smith reported that Sales is closing in on making a decision, and gave a timeline of mid-July for that decision to come.
Thus, fans of the Hoosiers, Buckeyes, Crimson Tide, Longhorns, and Tigers are now waiting on the edge of their seats waiting for a potential commitment announcement.

Sales is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the 2027 class, and his commitment has the potential to make or break a program's recruiting class. The 6'5" 195-pound playmaker is ranked as the No. 1 WR and No. 8 overall player in the country for the 2027 recruiting class according to Rivals. He is coming off a junior season in which he collected 37 catches for 794 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Curt Cignetti, Indiana looking to seal the deal with 5-star WR Monshun Sales
Hailing from right up the road at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Sales has been linked to the Hoosiers for quite a while. He has taken several trips to Bloomington over the last few months, and spent the weekend of April 24 on his Official Visit with the Hoosiers. It was his first Official Visit of the spring, and since then he has taken visits to all of his final list of contenders.
Back in May, Rivals' Steve Wiltfong and Greg Smith both logged expert predictions for Sales to end up in Bloomington. Nicholas Rome of Saturday Blitz shares that same prediction. Furthermore, the Rivals Industry Consensus gives Indiana a strong 81.7% chance to win out in the Sales Sweepstakes. Thus, Hoosier football fans should be feeling good about their chances.
After WR Xavier Sabb committed to Oregon earlier this week, Sales is now just one of three 5-star prospects in the 2027 class who remains uncommitted. He joins RB David Gabriel Georges and IOL Ismael Camara in that group. At this point, there's nothing for Indiana football fans to do but wait.
