#3. The coaching staff needs to light a fire in these Hoosiers

Something is missing.

Since Indiana basketball took down the national championship runner-ups on November 30th, the Hoosiers are 3-5 overall and have lost those five games by an average margin of 10.6 games, even though they’ve lost the last two (Iowa and Northwestern) by a combined three points.

The defense looks to be one of the worst in the country. The offense has changed it’s flow and rhythm completely.

Yes, without Race Thompson and Xavier Johnson, the Hoosiers are a completely different team defensively. But that’s no excuse for the lack of effort and fire that Indiana is playing with.

The coaching staff needs to implore how this game on Wednesday at Penn State is so important for the season to turn around, I’m almost putting it as a “must-win” scenario if the Hoosiers want to go dancing in March.
