#2. Tiawan Mullen will lead the Hoosiers’ defense in passes defended and grab an interception

In the Week 1 win over Illinois, Cam Jones stood out as the best player on the defensive side of the ball and held the Hoosiers in the game with a chance to win late. Tiawan Mullen finished his first game since October 30, 2021, with just four tackles, one pass defended, and a forced fumble.

Coming back from injury, that first game back is not too shabby, but I expect more to come from Mullen as we progress forward in the season. My projection for Week 2 for Mullen is that he finishes top three in tackles on the team, has at least two passes defended, along with snagging his first interception since November 2020. Mullen will be the standout on Tom Allen’s defense for Week 2.
