#1. Shaun Shivers responds after tough Week 1, rushes for 75+ yards and 1 TD

Shaun Shivers start to his 2022 season as a Hoosier started with a bang. Not a positive bang for him. On the first play from scrimmage for Indiana, Bazelak threw a pass to Shivers on the flat and Shivers got absolutely lit up by Illinois’ Devon Witherspoon. Shivers left the game immediately afterwards, but returned by the next drive for the Hoosiers’ offense.

Though he did not perform well with an injury-riddled offensive line, Shivers responded in a big way by powering through the Illini defense with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game to give Indiana football the lead, and ultimately the win.

My bold prediction for Shaun Shivers in this Week 2 matchup against the Vandals is that he comes out with a bang. I project that Shivers will rush for a long touchdown in the first quarter and finish the game with 75+ rushing yards and two touchdowns. Though he may leave the game early due to a blowout, I expect the lead back to get his touches early and make big plays against a sub-par defense.
