Indiana Basketball: 3 questions for the Hoosiers this offseason

Indiana Basketball: How will the freshman develop?
We just mentioned that it has appeared that campuses are starting to open up and it looks like the basketball team will be able to get to Bloomington and start working out together. But what type of restrictions will they be on when they get there and will the full team be able to be together.
This is a big deal for any school, but for the Indiana basketball team what they can do will be huge.
The Hoosiers are bringing in four very talented freshmen in Lander, Anthony Leal, Trey Galloway, and Jordan Geronimo. They all have the ability to play right away and make difference, but will restrictions on what the basketball team do limit the development of the players.
The Hoosiers have a good nucleus coming back, but they need the freshman to be a big part of the team if they want to compete in the Big Ten. Any time missed where they can all work together will be tough for the Hoosiers.
They need all the guys together to develop the chemistry needed when you bring in a lot of new pieces. It would be the same no matter what the season, but with the departures for the Hoosiers and the guys they are bringing in it is going to be huge to get them all on the same page.
The recruits they are bringing in didn’t get good by just waiting to work out, so you know they will get out and get better, but time with your team is very valuable.
You can come in with all the talent in the world but if you can’t work with your teammates it doesn’t really matter. The development of the freshman with the rest of the team is going to be a big part of how well the Hoosiers do this year.
This could be a special year for Indiana, but they need production from the freshman class. The sooner they can work together the better. The Hoosiers hope that it will be as close to business as normal and they can bring theses guys together and become and team to be reckoned with.
