5.  Michigan State Spartans

A week five matchup sees the Hoosiers face their first road test of the season when the head to East Lansing.

After compiling an impressive 10-3 record in 2017, the Michigan State Spartans ended the 2018-19 season with a 7-6 record with quarterback Brian Lewerke under the helm.

Lewerke suffered three injuries during the season last year that limited him to starting only ten games on the season where he threw for eleven interceptions compared to just eight touchdowns.

An issue that will need to be resolved is the way the Spartans close out games, as they lost four games by ten points or less.

If Lewerke can regain his 2017 form and stay healthy, expect to see the Spartans potentially have themselves another 10 win season, However, if injuries plague the team, the Spartans could become a fringe bowl eligible team.
