6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver from Mishawaka (IN) Tayshon Bardo was offered by Curt Cignetti and Indiana during the season and took an official visit on Halloween to Bloomington, could he be committing to IU soon?
Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Mike Shanahan has been in contact with Bardo all season and the elite in state wide out has also been in touch with new co-offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Chandler Whitmer.
Bardo reported he will visit the Hoosiers once more for a junior day on January 25th now.
Bardo ranks as the No. 85 wide receiver in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also ranked as the No. 2 player from the state of Indiana in the class.
Indiana is one of nearly 20 schools to offer Bardo, according to 247Sports. He also has other notable offers from Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Notre Dame, Central Michigan, Michigan State, Louisville, Miami (OH), Toledo, Western Michigan, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
Bardo totaled 16 receptions for 284 yards and seven touchdowns in injury shorten five game season. Bardo believes his speed has allowed him to separate from the competition and what has driven interest from colleges.
“My game has grown in every aspect,” stated Bardo. “It has grown the most with my change of pace, and my speed has grown a lot, I feel like.”
Indiana currently has zero recruits in the 2026 class. I expect Bardo to commit this summer or early fall to either Indiana, Notre Dame or Wisconsin.
