The Indiana Hoosiers are peaking and looking to stay dominate and improve to 8-0 on the season.

The Indiana Hoosiers had another statement with no sign of a let down this past Saturday for thier homecoming game, beating the Michigan State Spartans 38–10 at Memorial Stadium. With Indiana's win, Curt Cignetti and his team jumped to No. 2 in the AP and Coaches Poll, the highest ranking in program history.

Against Michigan State, Fernando Mendoza cemented himself at the top of Hesiman discussion and led the Hoosiers with 332 yards on 24-of-28 passing (85.7%) for four touchdowns and no interceptions. Running back Kaelon Black ran for 64 yards on 10 carries (6.4 yards per carry) and one touchdown. Wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. had 115 yards on eight catches (14.4 per reception) with one touchdown, while Mendoza's main target at receiver Elijah Sarratt had only four catches but two of them went for touchdown, he also added 70 yards.

Indiana’s offense has averaged 497.3 yards per game this season, while also averaging 43.9 points per game.

Can UCLA stay hot and win their biggest game in recent memory, with an upset on the road over No. 2 Indiana ?

The UCLA Bruins started off a hot mess, a disaster, a train wreck and other adjectives I can go on and on about. But after their 0-4 start and firing of coaches DeShaun Foster and offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri after a 35-10 loss at home against New Mexico in Week 3, UCLA is 3-0 in their last three games.

Junior quarterback Nico Iamaleava went 21-for-35 with 221 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the UCLA Bruins against the Maryland Terrapins in their 20-17 win. Nico also ran the ball eight times for 25 yards. Running back Anthony Frias II carried the ball four times for 97 yards and one touchdown. Frias also caught one pass for two yards. Wide receiver Titus Mokiao-Atimalala recorded six catches for 102 yards (on seven targets).

The offense has been the biggest deciding factor in UCLA's three game hot streak. Play caller and offensive coordinator Jerry Neuheisel has the Bruins rolling on the offensive side of the ball. The Tennessee transfer quarterback, Iamaleava, has thrown for 1,355 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions on 65.2% passing.

UCLA's offense averages 364.6 yards per game while averaging 22.4 points per game on the season.

UCLA's defense under interim head coach Tim Skipper has been much-improved after allowing 30-plus points in each of its first three games. The Bruins have held their last four opponents to 17 points or fewer,

When asked Curt Cignetti spoke highly of UCLA to LA Times reporter Ben Bolch.

"We're playing a 3-0 football team that's undefeated since they have retooled their staff," Cignetti said in Bolch's tweet. "A very impressive football team."

Cignetti has made Indiana a consistent playoff contender and the Hoosiers have established themselves as one of the top teams in the Big Ten Conference and college football overall. Cignetti's accomplishments including his 18-2 record in Bloomington has earned him long term extension. He signed an eight-year contract worth approximately $93 million, according to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg last week ahead of the Michigan State game.

Game Prediction:

UCLA goes back down to earth in this game, it's not a great matchup for the Bruins X's and O's wise. I envision Louis Moore and Ponds both getting interceptions off of Nico Iamaleava who is entering the game battered and bruised.

I can't see UCLA getting their typical big play and running the ball on this stout defense all game long, even without the services of defensive end Kellan Wyatt is who is likely out for the season.

On the other side of the ball Indiana will move the ball through the air on UCLA's defense. Expect Fernando Mendoza to have a similar game to last week agaisnt Michigan State. Overall I see the game being very similar overall actually.

Gimme Indiana over UCLA, with a final score of 42- 16 to improve to 8-0 on the season.
