Brock Vierra of UCLA Bruins on SI recently spoke with me to talk Tino Sunseri's impact he will make on DeShaun Foster's team heading into the 2025 season.

The former Indiana Hoosiers quarterback and offensive coordinator is heading to Westwood to coach the UCLA Bruins under head coach Deshaun Foster, Sunseri will replace Eric Bieniemy who mutually parted ways with the Bruins.

""I think Tino Sunseri adapted to the talent he had instead of forcing them to do things they couldn’t," James said. "He’s a young coach from a football family, who also played at a high level in college, so players relate to him, and he also showed an element of relatability in recruiting. He and [UCLA Head Coach DeShaun] Foster will vibe well together since they are both players' coaches.""

Vierra pointed out some similar prospects and schemes that could make the Bruins offense thrive in 2025.

Quarterback Joey Aguilar, WR Kaedin Robinson, wide receiver Mikey Matthews, and RB Anthony Woods will be all impact players who could be turnout to be like the players Sunseri had at IU such as Kurtis Rouke, Elijah Surratt, Justice Ellson and Ty Son Lawton. All who were transfers to to Indiana from James Madison with Mike Shanahan, Sunseri and Curt Cignetti.

Vierra stated "The good news is Sunseri is arguably the best person in the country at doing so despite the lack of time. It also helps that Aguilar and Robinson were teammates at Appalachian State and Matthews has transfered multiple times so he understands the process and time crunch."
