Tucker DeVries following Darian DeVries to Indiana Hoosiers basketball program

Former Two-Time Missouri Valley Player of The Year Guard Tucker DeVries set to transfer to Indiana following his father, Darian's hire

According to Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68 Tucker DeVries will be following is father and newly hired head coach Darian to play for the Indiana Hoosiers after he missed the the 2024-2025 season with a shoulder injury.

DeVries only played in eight games as a West Virginia Mountaineer this season, averaging 14.9 points per game, and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Previously DeVries played three seasons at Drake University were he was a two-time Missouri Valley Player of The Year and was averaged 14.9 points, 1.8 steals,1.5 blocks. and 4.9 rebounds. He's also a 37 percent career 3-point shooter from behind the arc.

Hired in March 2024 after replacing Bob Huggins, DeVries led West Virginia to a 19-13 (10-10 Big 12) record and a seventh-place finish in the Big 12, far exceeding preseason expectations after a 9-23 seasons prior.

Darian DeVries help guide the Mountaineers to big times wins over No. 2 Iowa State, No. 3 Gonzaga, and No. 7 Kansas, earning midseason national coach of the year honors even with his son, Tucker out for most of the season.

The Hoosiers will look to replace seniors Trey Galloway, Omuar Ballo, Anthony Leal and Luke Goode as they are the notable seniors who will graduate this season after going 19-13 overall in 2024-25.
