Junior wide receiver Makai Jackson has transferred from Appalachian State to Indiana for his senior season of college football according to 247 Sports’ Chris Hummer’s X post Tuesday.
Jackson stands at 6-foot, 200-pound and has caught 158 career passes for 2,154 yards and 15 touchdowns in his three-year college career.
In 2024 at App State, he had 46 receptions for 745 yards and five touchdowns. He also helped out in the special teams return game in the kickoff and punt return roles.
Jackson spent his freshman season at Saint Francis University and was teammates with Indiana junior wide receiver Elijah Sarratt in 2022.
The Hoosiers will lose Miles Cross and fifth year senior wide receivers Myles Price, Ke’Shawn Williams to eligibility but will return Elijah Sarrat, Omar Cooper Jr. and EJ Williams Jr.
Indiana also just landed top transfer quarterback Fernando Mendoza from Cal. Mendoza passed for 3,004 yards, 16 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions with a completion rate of 68.7%. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.
