Teri Moren and the Indiana women's basketball program are looking to get back on track in 2026-27. Moren's tenure in Bloomington has been successful, but the Hoosiers missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018 this past season. As she continues working to get IU's winning ways back, Moren is taking major strides on the recruiting trail.

One of the top players in the 2027 recruiting class that Hoosier fans need to know is Amelia Sow. Hailing from Fort Erie Secondary School in Canada, Sow is ranked as the top Canadian player and No. 4 combo guard in the 2027 class by Rivals. To the deligh of IU fans, she is seriously considering the Hoosiers.

On Thursday, Talia Goodman reported that Sow had set dates for a pair of Official Visits this fall. Indiana is on the schedule, as the highly-touted prospect will be in Bloomington for an Official Visit on September 25. She will also be taking a trip to Blacksburg to visit Virginia Tech on September 11.

Along with being ranked as the top player in Canada, Sow is heralded as a 4-star recruit and ranked as the No. 42 overall player in the country by Rivals. ESPN has her ranked even higher, slotting her into the No. 28 spot in its national recruiting rankings for the 2027 cycle.

Moren is hoping to keep her success with recruiting from Canada rolling. Last month, Moren signed two Canadian recruits in the form of Camille Pangonis and Ashlyn Anderson. The additions of Pangonis and Anderson bring Indiana's 2026-27 roster to feature 14 total players. Given that proven track record of recruiting north of the border, IU fans are hoping Moren can impress Sow during her visit this fall.

Moren is set to enter her 13th season at the helm of the Indiana women's basketball program. She owns an overall record of 264-126 in Bloomington, which is good for a winning percentage of .677. She's also been successful in Big Ten play, leading the Hoosiers to a 130-80 (.619) mark against conference foes.

After winning 15 games in her first season, Moren won 20+ games in 10 straight seasons from 2015-2025. She also led the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament in seven of 10 seasons during that stretch.

Coming off a disappointing 2025-26 campaign that saw IU go 18-14 overall and 6-12 in Big Ten play, Moren is looking to orchestrate a bounce back season this fall. Indiana's roster will look a lot different, as only three players who have seen game action are returning from last year's team. Hoosier fans are hoping Moren and her staff find the right formula to get back to the NCAA Tournament in 2026-27.
