Rupert was among a group of recruits who visited Bloomington over the weekend. He had another visit lined up this coming weekend at Boston College but won't be taking the visit now that he is solid on his verbal to Indiana. Rupert's other offers included Buffalo, Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oregon State, Western Michigan, Sacramento State and Purdue per 247 Sports Composite
Rupert is rated a consensus three-star recruit by 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 168 wide receiver in the class of 2026, and the No. 27 overall prospect out of Illinois in the class.
Rupert, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound wide receiver had 24 receptions for 660 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior as was named an all state return specialist in 2024.
Indiana recently hosted and landed three-star tight end PJ MacFarlane and three-star offensive lineman Kenton Mondeau over the weekend as well making their 2026 class come together with a total of 12 recruits before the seasons start. Rupert is the first wide receiver to join the class.
""What stands out to me the most is the winning culture with the coaches,""Kortez Rupert told 247Sports
Rupert is a bit undersized but possesses excellent speed and open field running ability. When I watch his highlight reel he reminds me of a taller version on Myles Price with more upside. Cignetti and his staff can adding a player like Rupert, is a massive boost to the class as a whole, especially the WR room.
